The design connects the existing space identity, through an alley of 12 trees, with a newly created memorial. An aforementioned alley, which represents 12 Lepoglava war veterans, follows a new park promenade pointing to the new memorial as the final experience point. In an emotional sense, the open surface of the sky, mirrored in the polished metal surface, connects the world of the living with the world of those to whom we pay tribute. The memorial is shaped as a circle which symbolizes eternity and community, with the war veteran's names engraved into the Croatian interlace on the rim of the circle. Minimalist design, which connects the existing and new space identity, creates a place of modesty with a sublime remembrance idea.
