The design of the subject area was primarily determined by the existing axes and direction of the user's movement, at the same time acknowledging and highlighting the axes that open up between the Main Station building and the Post Office building, as well as the view of the black locomotive display. The design sought to ensure undisturbed user movement in the northern and western part of the area, where there is currently more frequent movement, while forming a more intimate area in the eastern part. There, the main accent of the subject area is located; a memorial feature consisting of twelve granite blocks (pillars). Another design accent is the gray paving of the "spatial wound", which represents a significant contrast to the surrounding light paving, directing users to the memorial.
