The Petar Preradović Promenade is placed within the protected cultural good - “cultural historical part of the City of Osijek”, which is listed in the Register of Cultural Goods under the Z-4341 code. Due to the cultural and historical value of this site, a historical study, as well as an inventory and valorization of the existing vegetation have been made, as a basis for the design process. Lastly, the Preliminary Design was proposed and then approved by the Conservation Office in Osijek, Croatia. Based on the Preliminary Design and the prescribed guidelines of the Conservation Office, the Main Design for the reconstruction of the Promenade was developed and a building permit was issued.
